February Favourites 2018

While January felt like a whole calendar year long, February seems to have lasted a good two minutes! So what made it into my February favourites? February saw many outfits with colourful shirts in an attempt to add more colour to my wardrobe as the Spring/Summer season approaches. This month, I was also lucky enough to visit The Netherlands on a short trip to Amsterdam. As well as this, I have spent much of February binge-watching teen comedies on Netflix. I know, productive right? Continue reading “February Favourites 2018”

Menswear Fashion Trend Predictions In 2018

Happy new year to you! I hope you’ve had a great time celebrating the end of 2017 and the start of what could be a pretty big year in fashion, particularly in menswear. 2017 saw the rise and fall of many trends and brands and the same is expected in 2018. Last year, we saw the huge influx of puffer jackets, ugly dad sneakers, and man-bags. So what’s in my menswear fashion trend predictions in 2018? How My Style Has Changed In One Year

2017 was the year where I really experimented with clothes to find ‘my style’ and it’s not until today, 9 days before 2018, that I think I found an aesthetic that I love and feel comfortable in. I don’t want to say that I’ve found my “personal style” because I don’t believe I’m quite there yet. There’s still a lot of experimenting to do. So let’s see how I changed in 2017…  Continue reading “How My Style Has Changed In One Year”

My Black Friday Pick Ups!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would’ve been bombarded with emails and signs about #BlackFriday and #CyberMonday deals last weekend. Personally, during Black Friday, I prefer to do my shopping and bargain hunting online – it just saves me time and effort, and it means that I can browse and filter through clothes quite easily. I very rarely buy clothes full price, unless it’s thrifted or a piece that I’ve wanted for a long time (a pair of sneakers, for example), so I always like to take advantage of days like Black Friday. Continue reading “My Black Friday Pick Ups!”

Comfortable in Black and White

So I have quite a bit of explaining to do… Where have I been?! Honestly, everywhere and nowhere. I was very poorly for two weeks, traveled to Milan and Paris for a week, and had two University assignments to do. That’s kind of why the blog has taken a backseat for the last three weeks, but I’ve also just been feeling a little uninspired in terms of writing and fashion/music. In terms of fashion, I’ve just been seeing the same style replicated a thousand times on Instagram, and it’s just… boring. With music, I haven’t listened to any new stuff for a while, apart from Jaden Smith’s Syre. That was fire. Continue reading “Comfortable in Black and White”

The Perfect Denim Jacket

Denim Jackets are probably my go-to jackets because they’re so easy to wear – you can layer it with a simple tee or even a light hoodie/sweatshirt. I bought a black ZaraMan denim jacket nearly a year ago and I’ve managed to get so many wears out of it through all of the seasons. Recently, I’ve decided to add some colour to my wardrobe and buy a blue denim jacket. What I find difficult about buying blue denim is that some colours are way too light while some are just too dark. This is a “Blue Mid Wash”. Continue reading “The Perfect Denim Jacket”

Outfit of the Day

This is definitely one of my favourite outfits I’ve ever done, and I think it’s got something to do with the fact that there is no better feeling than wearing new clothes for the first time! I love the transition from Summer to Autumn because it’s not hot enough to go out in just a tee and it’s not yet cold enough to put on a million layers. Continue reading “Outfit of the Day”

LPU: OtherUK Flannel Jacket

Most of you probably haven’t heard of OtherUK – they’re a British streetwear and lifestyle brand founded by Nicky Other in 2011. Their products range from basic tees and hoodies to European-made denim to British made footwear. They most recently released their Athletic Capsule, which I hope to pick up a few things from! As well as that, they have been teasing us with their new AW17 collection, one of their “most conceptual and technical collections to date.” I’m interested in seeing the direction they’ve chosen to take. Continue reading “LPU: OtherUK Flannel Jacket”

Sale Steals: Topman

As the Spring/Summer season comes to a close, it’s time to get all my Autumn/Winter clothes ready, and for me, that literally just means using my whole wardrobe to layer up. More importantly, it means that end of season sale is on! I’m in the process of clearing out my wardrobe in time for going back to University so I’ve been a lot more picky with the clothes I’m buying. Continue reading “Sale Steals: Topman”
