Double Denim: Mid Blue Wash

Double denim is possibly one of the most difficult to pull off as it relies on certain shades complementing each other. With the many shades of blue denim, it’s particularly hard to find the right denim wash of jackets and jeans. For the best part of the Autumn/Winter seasons, I’ve been loving my ASOS Man Denim Jacket in a Mid Blue Wash. And this month, I bought my first pair of blue denim jeans in a very long time – this particular pair is an ‘Acid Dark Blue’! Since then, I have been wanting to experiment with the two pieces and wearing them together in one outfit to try double denim for the first time. Continue reading “Double Denim: Mid Blue Wash”

January Favourites

This month has been a busy month for me in terms of University assignments and deadlines but it has also been a month full of bits and pieces that I’ve been loving in fashion, music, and film. Many took advantage of the January sales, but I stayed away and focused on getting rid of clothes before buying new ones. With music, I’ve been listening to my old favourites as well as some new artists I’ve been recommended! When it comes to TV and Film, I’m not much of a film junkie but I can probably out-binge most people – this month, I’ve been loving murder… So let’s talk about my January Favourites! What I Would Wear It With: Beige Trousers

This is the first post of a series that I’m starting called “What I Would Wear It With”. In this series, I will pick a certain item or style of clothing and discuss how I would wear them. For example, I recently bought a pair of beige trousers for the first time and I want to discuss how I’d still them and why. Hopefully, this series will inspire you to come out of your comfort zone and experiment a lot more with your style. Continue reading “What I Would Wear It With: Beige Trousers”

How My Style Has Changed In One Year

2017 was the year where I really experimented with clothes to find ‘my style’ and it’s not until today, 9 days before 2018, that I think I found an aesthetic that I love and feel comfortable in. I don’t want to say that I’ve found my “personal style” because I don’t believe I’m quite there yet. There’s still a lot of experimenting to do. So let’s see how I changed in 2017…  Continue reading “How My Style Has Changed In One Year”

My Black Friday Pick Ups!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would’ve been bombarded with emails and signs about #BlackFriday and #CyberMonday deals last weekend. Personally, during Black Friday, I prefer to do my shopping and bargain hunting online – it just saves me time and effort, and it means that I can browse and filter through clothes quite easily. I very rarely buy clothes full price, unless it’s thrifted or a piece that I’ve wanted for a long time (a pair of sneakers, for example), so I always like to take advantage of days like Black Friday. Crep Check: Adidas, Nike, Clarks

Shoes are definitely one of my favourite items of clothing (if you can call them that) because there’s just so many different styles to choose from – sneakers, boots, heels, sliders – and they can really define an outfit. For me, sneakers make up 95% of my shoe collection, from NMDs to CDG Converses. Every so often, I go through a phase where I’ll buy a couple of pairs of shoes at a time and then nothing for a while after. That phase came a few weeks ago when I decided to buy three pairs of shoes that are all quite different from each other… because why not? Continue reading “Crep Check: Adidas, Nike, Clarks”
