Denim Jackets are probably my go-to jackets because they’re so easy to wear – you can layer it with a simple tee or even a light hoodie/sweatshirt. I bought a black ZaraMan denim jacket nearly a year ago and I’ve managed to get so many wears out of it through all of the seasons. Recently, I’ve decided to add some colour to my wardrobe and buy a blue denim jacket. What I find difficult about buying blue denim is that some colours are way too light while some are just too dark. This is a “Blue Mid Wash”.
This ASOS Denim Jacket is my favourite jacket so far this season! For a reasonable price of £40, I bought it in a men’s XXS and it couldn’t be the most perfect oversized fit – the dropped shoulders really gives it that cosy Autumn feeling. The jacket actually came with folded shoulders like it was modelled on the website and I prefer it that way because 1. My arms are way too short and 2. It gives a lovely contrast between the lighter blue and the darker blue colours. Out of all of my Autumn/Winter jackets, this is my most worn one so far.
The quality of this jacket is pretty good – it’s heavyweight and warm, and it will definitely get you through these cold Autumn days. Whether you’re going for a nice morning walk or even dressing it up with a nice shirt for an evening meal, this jacket will suit any occasion! ASOS sell a lot of denim jackets in various colour ways and fits so it’s really up to you what goes well with your wardrobe and style. A simple black denim jacket can go a long way whereas a “true denim” colour will add a bit of colour to your outfit. An oversized fit will give you that casual, street style, whereas a regular fit will achieve a smart-casual look.
I love wearing this jacket with my Monki jeans because they both fit so loosely, creating this slouchy and relaxed look. With a denim jacket like this, you really want it to be the statement piece so keeping it simple in this particular outfit, I decided to wear an oversized jumper (also by ASOS) in black, which pairs really nicely with the black jeans and my Adidas Ultra Boost in the core black colourway. The deep, Indigo colour of the denim is complemented by the dark colours of my outfit. I also wore a burgundy tee underneath, just to add to the autumnal vibes!
